I had very little time to write paper for SpaceWhip project,so i wrote simple
equation editor for Microsoft Word, that really saved my time. It takes much longer time
for me to type equations in "Microsoft Equation Editor" than to make 'em with this simple tool .
How it works:
You type formule in simple textual form(into editor's window),for instance,
int(x=0,1,|sin(x^x/a+b)|*dx)
,
then "editor" converts it into strange sequence for msWord:
Then you need to press "copy" button in editor(it copies sequence to clipboard),
swich to MSWord, press [CTRL][F9] ,editor should show something like that:
text before cursor {|} text after cursor
press [CTRL][V] (pastes text from clipboard).Editor should show
text before cursor {EQ \i(x=0;1; \b\bc\|(sin\b(\f(x\s\up6(x);a)+b))*dx)|} text after cursor
To show your equation,right-click on gray part,in context menu select something
like "codes/field values". You should see
Note: Double-click on equation opens Microsoft Equation Editor.
You may test if it works with your editor without downloading program itself -
just select and copy "sequence" and do following steps starting from "swich to MSWord".
It does support only subset of things that i used often enough.
Source are not commented.
i had no time to integrate it into MSWord,or to figure how i can transfer greek
letters and symbols into MSWord (i just manually replaced "alpha" with greek alpha letter,etc)....
If you will extend my program ,say,to support actual greek letters,or to write directly into MSWord, please let me know.
and of course, Microsoft, Microsoft Word, Word, Microsoft Equation, Microsoft Equation Editor, is a registered trademarks of Microsoft.
